Before Fall slips through our fingers, there is no better way to enjoy it than to experience its flavors. Why not incorporate medical cannabis into your recipes?
Reap its therapeutic benefits while munching on the treats we have in store.
We know how important tradition is to some, so we have included flavors everyone will know and love. Nevertheless, we couldn’t help but throw in a few recipes that were slightly out of the box, too. Read on to learn more about cannabis and what recipes pair well with both THC and CBD.
Cannabis consists of multiple parts. Marijuana is a primary part of the cannabis plant that contains high levels of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), a primary ingredient found in the plant. This is the compound that is responsible for marijuana’s psychological effects, meaning you will experience a high when taking it. CBD (cannabinoid), on the other hand, acts similarly to THC, but without causing a high. Understanding the difference can help you choose which one is a better fit. Cannabis has been known to treat a variety of conditions, including epilepsy, glaucoma, and PTSD.
If you think Cannabis is right for you, visit MMJ Care MD. We offer medical marijuana and/or low-THC/CBD medication evaluations and individualized treatment.
If you have a favorite pumpkin bread recipe, make it as you normally would, only changing the butter. Instead of using traditional butter, you will be incorporating homemade cannabutter. If this is your first time making cannabutter, it is essentially decarboxylated cannabis infused with butter or oil, if you are vegan.
Making this recipe for cannabutter is time-consuming but easy. After you have tweaked this one ingredient, you can bake your beloved pumpkin bread as usual.
Here is a recipe idea that will allow you to make homemade apple cider, which is vastly superior to its store-bought counterpart. Many people drink homemade apple cider hot, cold, on its own, or with a touch of alcohol. Instead of alcohol, we recommend using cannabis oil, beginning at the lowest dosage. This applies to THC and CBD products. Gauge how you responded to that first sip, and slowly increase the dosage from there.
Some people forget that maple is a flavor akin to fall, as this is when the maple trees begin to blossom. You may not find this flavor in the lattes at your favorite coffee shops (except, perhaps, as a mild sweetener), but you can enjoy it at home with a variety of tasty recipes, including marijuana maple doughnuts.
Making doughnuts is incredibly easy as long as you are baking instead of frying them. Simply buy one or two doughnut molds and pour the batter into the molds like you would when baking muffins. You may have to find a recipe online since you likely don’t have a beloved maple doughnut recipe lying around as you would, say, pumpkin bread.
Again, prepare the recipe as instructed, substituting traditional butter with your cannabutter recipe.
Do you frequent cafes with expensive drinks and wonder why you spend $6 on a chai latte when you can easily prepare it at home? You aren’t alone. Chai is another forgotten fall flavor that is deliciously made into lattes you can make yourself. Many of these cafes infuse their lattes with herbs, such as ashwagandha, tulsi, pippali, and turmeric. These are called adaptogenic lattes, but don’t let the fancy name trick you into spending more than it’s worth.
When preparing your latte at home, add your own herbs and a touch of CBD oil for a tasty latte you can enjoy every morning.
