MMJ Care MD works through a series of simple steps. First, our certified physicians perform an extensive medical evaluation, and review your medical history to see if you’re a good candidate for the use of medical marijuana. They need to verify that you suffer from a medical condition that could greatly benefit from the use of medical marijuana. This will ensure that you are able to obtain a medical marijuana card, also known as a cannabis card. A medical marijuana card will allow you to visit a dispensary and receive medical marijuana treatment.
Furthermore, once the evaluation is completed and you are qualified, one of our medical marijuana physicians will enter your certification and order into the Medical Marijuana Registry. The Office of Compassionate Use will then email the individual their login information. To receive the ID card, the patient or caregiver must submit a completed application to the Office of Medical Marijuana. The application will need to have a passport photo, a copy of state ID- proof of residency, and a fee of $75. You can do this online or through a paper application. Make sure to write your patient ID number on your application and payment as well. If you need assistance, don’t worry. We’ll help you through the process during your first visit.
The next step would be to receive your medication through a MMTC, Medical Marijuana Treatment Center. This is the only place that can legally provide medical marijuana medication.
